I got an unexpected email today from Catherine Wynne of the BBC. Apparently they are doing a piece about TalkTalk on the 6 o’clock news tonight and during the research came across my TalkTalk problems post (the one with 500+ comments - mostly about problems people are having).

They would like a number of comments from TalkTalk users regarding the service. If you’re interested (and read this quite a bit before 6pm 27th February), call:

Zudeo and the BBC

Apparently the BBC will begin offering programmes for download though Zudeo, a movie sharing service similar to YouTube, owned by Azureus, the developer of a popular BitTorrent client.

Although the downloads will contain DRM, the very fact that the reputation of BitTorrent for illegal downloads hasn’t put the BBC off partnering with a company that relies on it says a lot about them.

BBC gives new talent a chance…

Anybody watching the BBC today will notice how they have decided to give all their up-and-coming talent a chance to shine today. From announcers to news reporters (and no doubt production crew too) the less experienced ruled the roost today.

The fact that the proper staff are on strike obviously has nothing to do with it.
